To help preserve the color, finish, and flexibility of the foliage and wired branches, avoid placing the stem in prolonged direct sunlight or near strong heat sources such as fireplaces, radiators, heating vents, or windows that receive intense afternoon sun. Extended exposure to heat and ultraviolet light may gradually affect the original coloration and flexibility of the materials over time.

The stem should also be kept away from prolonged moisture, damp storage areas, and extended outdoor humidity.
