The Story
The Gilded Magnolia Stem pairs creamy white magnolia blossoms with a metallic gold branch, giving a familiar flower a much more sculptural point of view. Two open blooms sit at different heights along the branching stem, joined by several closed buds that keep the composition from feeling too finished or symmetrical. The petals are softly shaped rather than rigid, with warm ivory undertones that stand out beautifully against the gold.
What makes this stem especially striking is the contrast between flower and branch. The magnolias bring softness and recognizable botanical form, while the gilded branch traces around them in slender, irregular lines. At 27 inches, it has enough height to make an impact on its own but can just as easily become the lighter focal point within a deeper arrangement.
Design Function
A focal and movement stem that introduces a defined floral moment while the branching gold structure carries the eye outward and upward through an arrangement.

Our traditional faux stems are selected for the design value they bring to an arrangement—interesting shape, useful color, textural detail, and the ability to create combinations that would be difficult to achieve with fresh botanicals alone.
The Gilded Magnolia was selected for the contrast between its soft white flowers and sculptural metallic branch. Open blooms and closed buds create different stages of the flower along one stem, while the irregular branching prevents the magnolias from sitting in a straight, predictable line.
Its wired construction is an important part of how this stem works. The branches can be gently opened and redirected so the blooms face different directions, allowing the stem to feel more natural once it is placed in the vase.
How to Style It
Stem Count:
Use 1 stem for a sculptural magnolia moment, 3 stems for an airy floral arrangement with more visible bloom, or 5 stems for a fuller composition in a statement or wide-mouth vase.Vase Recommendation:
Works in everyday, statement, wide-mouth, narrow-neck, and standard-opening vessels. A narrow-neck vase is especially useful for one to three stems because it holds the branches upright while still allowing the flowers to extend naturally. Choose a wider vessel when combining the magnolia with additional florals or foliage.Arrangement Role:
Functions as both a focal and movement stem. The creamy magnolia flowers create the visual landing points, while the branching gold lines and buds lead the eye between them.Pairing Approach:
Pair with deeper colors when you want the white flowers and gold branch to become more prominent. Burgundy, plum, black, olive, and rich green are particularly effective. For a softer arrangement, combine it with cream flowers, muted greenery, and other gilded botanicals.Placement Idea:
Style one stem in a smaller sculptural vase on a console or coffee table, group several in a taller vessel for a dining or entry arrangement, or incorporate it into a mixed floral design where the white blooms can break up deeper seasonal colors.Quick Styling Formula:
Gilded Magnolia + Plum Cimicifuga Ramosa Leaf Branch + Burgundy Allium + Black Eucalyptus = a sculptural fall-to-holiday arrangement with creamy florals, deep foliage, and touches of gold.Where It Works Best
- Entry consoles
- Coffee tables
- Dining tables
- Fireplace mantels
- Styled shelves
- Statement floral arrangements
- Holiday arrangements
- Year-round sculptural floral displays
Mel’s Styling Take
I love this stem most when the gold isn't the only reason you notice it. The white magnolia against that branch is such a beautiful contrast, and I would give the flowers enough room that you can actually see the shape of each bloom and the little buds around them.
For a simpler arrangement, I would use three stems and turn each one slightly differently rather than lining the flowers up. In a larger arrangement, I would use the magnolia almost like a little bit of light—place it among burgundy, plum, black, or deep greenery and let those creamy flowers break through the darker colors.
Pairs Well With
- Plum Cimicifuga Ramosa Leaf Branch
- Burgundy Allium Stem
- Black Eucalyptus Stem
- Gilded Fern Stem
- Green Olive Leaf Spray

Climate & Care Considerations
Designed for indoor use. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and excessive heat, which may gradually affect the deeper burgundy and orange pigments.
Avoid bathrooms, steamy rooms, damp basements, covered outdoor areas, and other moisture-prone environments. In humid regions, particularly the East, Southeast, and Gulf Coast, store and display the bundle in a climate-controlled interior space whenever possible.
Because richly pigmented faux materials can potentially transfer color when exposed to moisture or prolonged contact, avoid resting damp stems against light-colored fabrics, porous surfaces, or delicate finishes.
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or cool air on a low setting. Do not rinse, soak, or submerge. Store with enough space around the blooms to prevent the petals and larger leaves from being crushed.
